In Combination, depression and anxiety can be especially challenging to live with, hard to diagnose, and demanding to treat.
Anxiety and stress tend to hit women more. Truth be told twice as much as men, but it is often harder for a man to confess the reality of their condition.
Society is inclined to treat this as a weakness in a man. The predisposition is to think it ought to be easier for a man to 'overcome it'. It's a bit like crying. It's acceptable if a woman cries, but REAL men don't cry.
Research shows those with children have higher levels of stress related hormones in their blood than women without children. Does this mean women without children don't experience stress? Not in the slightest!
It means that women without children may not go through anxiety to the identical degree as women with children do. Meaning, it's chiefly beneficial to schedule time you will be in a better mental set to meet the daily goals of being a parent, once your stress level is reduced. Are you a working woman? Do you have a troublesome mate? The same could be said for you.
The simple choice is to go to a doctor for care. However, many women have tried and WON speedy relief with other alternative therapies available to treat panic attacks safely and effectively. The highway to wellness may not be easy, but it's certainly worth the freedom from anxiety it brings.
When women are within the grip of depression and anxiety, it can feel like the agony of mind will never end, that you’ll never rally. Anxiety is a feeling of apprehension or fear. The source of this uneasiness is not always recognized. But still, people do manage to return.
People diagnosed tend to have:
v Moderate to severe symptoms
v More drawback in their day-to-day lives
v More trouble choosing the right anxiety treatment
v Elevated risk of suicide
v Focus on small steps. For most women grappling with anxiety and stress, making it through the day is hard enough. Over time, small changes can give you the confidence to make bigger ones.
v Put effort into therapy. Try to do your part; the benefit you’ll get from therapy is directly related to the work you put into it.
v Be an active partner in your treatment. There are many good anxiety and stress helpers for women. But they all hinge on being willing to try.
Regardless of whether you are a single female, working mother, married with children, anxiety interferes with normal life. Anxiety is considered abnormal when it is very time consuming or overwhelming, it happens in the absence of a stressful incident, or it is interfering with everyday activities such as going to work.
Markers of anxiety include:
v Elevated heartbeat or palpitation
v Sleepless nights
v Irritability
v Being unable to concentralize
v Feeling unreal, termed depersonalization.
Many people who suffer from anxiety disorder occupy their minds with disproportionate tension about anything from health matters to job problems to world issues.
Because anxiety comes and goes, women go overboard when it appears, only to disregard it when it isn't present. The anxiety attack is when the most immediate help is needed. Over the next few weeks, I will discuss and review natural healing, the causes of anxiety as well as managing worry.
